    Update, years later. In the future. I just spent all day demolishing four old, welded, rusted, dog kennels with this thing. Held up fine. I have no doubt someone'll find this 100 years from now, and continue on with it. Some of the best money I ever spent. Also for those who wanted a giant can opener, you should have bought a SPAX. I keep the blade taped off with masking tape, I don't use it. I use it for everything else. This thing is a prying CHAMP. I was literally prying welds off with it all day. ;p, and the steel bars were chipping/breaking before this, and the welds. ;p

    Ordered this knowing what I'd get into, with (in my opinion) its companion piece, the Stanley STHT55134 FUBAR Demolition Bar. Works amazing. Bashed through an old giant hybrid swingset fort thing earlier that had about a billion nails and screws holding it together. Was able to salvage the right pieces, and destroy the correct pieces. Smashed and pried through everything with barely a scuff in like five minutes. Pretty ridiculous. Would have taken forever, been dangerous, and cost five times as much with all the other BS tools as the normal brick and mortar stores around. It does light prying, but really need the crowbar if you ever need to get deeper in. Also the crowbar gets the nails out a little faster. Trucker tool mangles right through lighter steel and aluminum like it's absolutely nothing also. These two tools together and you can do practically anything.

    Can't wait to find out what else I can apply these bad boys too.

    Just got this tool yesterday and I am very happy with my purchase! I did a lot of research on this product and loved that it is made of heat treated steel. NOT COLD STEEL. It also has a life time replacement Guarantee. My only complaints are the sheath is junk and the edge on the ax was not sharp at all. I mean it literally has a 1-2 mill edge. But that was an easy fix with a bench grinder and a wet stone. The weight is good and it feels good in your hand too. The only weakness maybe the shaft. Im not sure if there is a metal bar through it or if its just fiberglass. but either way if it ever breaks they will replace it for free. and if its during the Apocalypse I will just through a wood shaft and handle on it with a bolt. Over all I would suggest this tool to anyone that camps, is an EMT, Police officer, Firefighter or survivalist. GREAT TOOL, VERY STRONG, AND MADE IN AMERICA WITH PA STEEL! Shipping was great.

    When making your essential emergency car kit or a basic camping kit a hatchet/hammer combo must be included, especially if it incorporates an axe, spanner, hammer, nail puller, tire chain hook, pry bar, and lever into a single, well made and rugged body. When you put all those together you have the Trucker's Friend, a 21-inch combo-tool made by Innovation Factory. It is easy to use and sooo versatile. I love it and it has replaced three other tools in our camping kit. I think we will get more, one for each of our vehicles, too. We have only had it for one camping season so don't know how long it lasts. We average about four camping trips a year. I will update the review over the years as we use it.
    (Update ~ After taking it on two camping trips, the second one with 5 days straight of rain, I have to report that this ax is already rusted. Doesn't appear to have harmed its cutting ability or usefulness, so far, but I am concerned with what it is saying about its durability. For this price I would hope to get a couple of years of use out of it. Knocked off one star because of the rust).

    Duct tape (BIG roll)
    Eating and cooking implements
    With these items you can make any kind of camping fun and, relatively, smooth going. The hatchet and hammer, combo, comes in so handy. You need it to cut those limbs for the hot dog and marshmallow sticks. To split your kindling and the smaller logs for your fire. The hammer you can use to pound down the tent stakes or the tarp for that unexpected rain that will fall no matter what the weather forecast says is going to happen. The shovel is great for making fire pits, or cooler pits, for keeping the coals together and banking them for the night or spreading them out so you can easily douse the fire before you leave and cover the pit back up with dirt. The multi-use pocket knife is great for whittling the sticks small enough for marshmallows, has tweezers to get out those pesky splinters, pliers to pull out the hook lodged in the fish (or your hand). Flashlight and Lanterns are a must for night time, make sure you grab extra batteries and/or fuel. If using fuel be sure to also get extra mantels. A cooler is great if you aren't planning on digging a cooler pit. A bucket is a must for hauling the water, transporting the fish/crawdads, washing dishes, feet or the baby! The tarp can be used under the tent, over the tent or for a wind break. Twine/Jute will hold the tarp in place, the table cloth on the picnic table, the dog to the picnic table, the baby to the picnic table (just joking). Duct tape, a must have. It is water resistant. It will patch your tent, your tarp, your shoes, your coat. It, too, will hold your dog to the picnic table. Don't use it on the baby, to hard (and painful) to get off. Authorities frown on it. Unless you are really roughing it cooking over the fire is pretty hard, you can burn the hair off your arms (and your eyebrows depending on the height of the fire and the length of your arms) so get a camp stove and the right cooking implements.

    This thing is GREAT. I bought it quite a while ago and I use it very frequently. I hammer with it, split small wood for kindling, pry with it. It is very, very tough. Warning this this comes out of the box very sharp. After I open the box i laid it on the floor leaning it up against a table leg. I was bare foot and i accidentally hit it with my toe, cutting myself very badly!
