This is a large, Made in USA belt drive floor fan/air circulator. Belt drive units are slightly more expensive but are more durable than direct drive units that can translate fan blade vibrations to the motor shaft/bearings - that eventually leads to premature motor failure. This unit has two speeds low and high, it's very quiet on low and not that noisy on high. Tt is mounted on sturdy wheels that assist in moving the fan, and has sturdy handles on the outside of the drum body. Color was red not our first choice but the Amazon Prime price (w/shipping) was right compared to other vendors. Has a 2-year warranty.

This unit arrived in excellent condition (its a large box, this is a 42" diameter fan) but that depends upon the shipper's handling of the item. If the fan/its box is subjected to rough handling or sustains box damage in shipment it is very likely the fan inside will be damaged or bent because there is little padding or packing material around the drum body - so immediately upon delivery, inspect yours carefully and plug it in and operationally check it.

Moves A LOT of air. Not so much that on high you get blown away like some kind of Hollywood movie. We have a body shop and wanted something to help push the dust out. This fan is exactly what we needed. Four blades make is well balanced. On Low the fan does not move at all. On high a slight vibration, but no shaking or oil canning.

Seems to be very well built. Like that it has 1/2 HP motor (not 1/3 like the imports) Like it even better knowing it was made in the good old USA. The quality shows.

Come is a real big box, ready to plug in and turn on. No assembly required.

First off, prepare for a pallet size box to show up. You will probably need a dock to receive it. Moves a decent amount of air, but not as much as you would think. Good for warehouses, long rooms and like size areas. Very noisy so you don't want this where you will need to carry a conversation near it. For a little more money you can get a serious industrial fan that will last a lot longer and put up with a lot more abuse than this will.

Fan is big enough and quiet enough that we can use it to move humid air on our deck and still enjoy the outdoors. This fan is not rated for outdoor use so we move it out to the deck when we need it to stay comfortable and then move it to the garage when we don't need it. We've tried smaller fans but they are really loud when you increase the speed to move enough air. This 42" model is big enough that it moves plenty of air at a slower, quieter speed.
