If you hold the can 16” away you will get a smother texture. But 2.5 to 3feet / 36” will make a rougher texture.

STEP 1. READ THE BACK of the CAN, Aerosol can, Spray can whatever you call it read it and this product will work
I do recommend doing very light coats, if you get to heavy in some areas it's ok It will blend very easy, Stay 15 inches away from your project even if you have to get closer in a tight area, Stay back and throw the paint in there, Remember this isn't a regular spray paint you want texture, The closer you are the less you get.
This paint comes out like a carb cleaner spray, Its very fast and straight, I saw my self just tapping the nozzle to get in some spots, Which if you know what you're doing you wouldn't do that with regular paint/Aerosol cans, Definitely a learning curve if you're new to painting or have never used a bedliner like my self.
I also used duplicolors gray primer for engines #DE1612, Since its an enamel paint with ceramic basically more impact resistant, To clean my project I used duplicolor prep spray #PS100.
Most importantly wait for this paint to dry, wait a couple days, My bumper has been drying for 2 full days and it's definitely a tough coating, To make this even tougher use this bedliner the primer I stated above the cleaner if you want, but really clean it if your not sure if it's clean, Clean it again.
My point is use a heat gun/hair dryer, It will help with the ceramic coating and enamel paint to bond as one with the bedliner. Man is it tough already, I did this throughout the 2 days of it just air drying really helped bond this together as one. I highly recommend this.
You're welcome 😊 you can thank me later lol have a good one hope this helps
Update 12-8-22
So paint is still fantastic haven't had any problems with chipping or flaking or anything really. I definitely would do it again for really anything to be honest.
THE only thing I would do differently is add the clear coat!! Man was I bummed out when I finally!! Found that, After my bumper was already installed, Got dirty, Rained on and other things. I looked all over amazon for it I wanted the same dupli-color clear coat the cans look Identical, But its white paper and a clear cap. PART #CTBA100
If you add that to everything above I'm sure it would make it that much better, Because now the paint is sealed. Like I said I still haven't had any issues with my paint doing anything its not supposed to. At the time it was out of stock everywhere couldn't get it sadly but even with out it still looks great.
dupli-color once again making great products!! Thank you.

dupli-color once again making great products!! Thank you.
I’m happy to say I had a great experience. It applied easily and evenly (when I sprayed from about 2 feet away). I had no clogging issues, but I shook the can about every 10 seconds after each pass.
I scored my sliders but not my fender flares. I did use an adhesion spray on both the sliders and the fenders. I did need about 5-6 coats in order to get the proper texture look and feel. With two coats it looked like a glossy paint with some bumps. With 6 coats it was Matt black and looked like a sandy Rhino coat should.
I’m supper happy with the product and the final look of my truck.
