What I love most about GEARWRENCH tools is their commitment to innovation and quality, and this ratchet is a prime example. The 120XP design, with its fine-tooth gear mechanism, ensures that I can achieve precise torque application with minimal effort. It's a tool that not only simplifies my work but also adds a layer of convenience to my projects, proving that Gearwrench is a brand I can consistently rely on for high-quality tools that never fail to impress.
I like them both allot, the small swing to engage really helps and it's nice and smooth, head is pretty thin too which is nice. As for the flex head personally I like the detents to hold it, yeah it's not as 'infinitely' adjustable, but it's probably less likely to get sloppy overtime and truthfully the increments it has are going to cover 99% of use cases anyway. When it pops in it really holds the angle, I much prefer it personally. I saw one guy claim you can't move it easily while working, but frankly he must have the weakest fingers know to man, the engagement is positive, but not heavy and it's trivial to pivot it between the positions while it's on a bolt.
Handles I'm kinda conflicted on. The rubber is definitely is easier to get a solid hold on and slips less, but that goes hand in hand with it collecting gunk and being obviously less durable then chrome. Overall I think I still prefer the rubber though. This specific one is nicely shaped and seems to be holding up well so far to having been dunked in several types of fluids as well as the usual wear and tear.
Both the ratchets in this set are pretty long, the 3/8th in particular, that can be good or bad depending on the task ,but the 3/8th is big enough to sometimes be obstructive, but on the other had that big handle gives you lots of leverage. Still if this was going to be like your one 3/8th ratchet I'd look at something a few inches shorter. The 1/4th is I'd say slightly longer then average too, but less so, honestly in it's case I mostly find it a benefit, quite a few 1/4th are so stubby I often find it hard to get much leverage on them in any kind of awkward position.
Edit: Checking in with no over a year of daily professional use as well, still holding up fine though the 3/8th is missing a chunk of rubber now from when I stupidly got it pinned trying to use it on a idler. Consider that a point in it's favor though, it took a ton of force to get it back loose, but it kept on trucking.

The length gives you added leverage when needed the most and is very to be very effective in tight spots.

I used the 3/8 ratchet on a 2018 Silverado Rear Caliper bracket bolts which are SUPER tight and the ratchet held up perfectly. The reason is I couldn’t get anything else in the space. The ratchets comes in I think one of the best storage trays I have seen to date which is solid firm foam storage. No plastic garbage tray that breaks, solid foam which protects them. These ratchets I think are the best or next to best ratchets I have used because they are just much built very well and the comfortable handles makes using them all day a breeze. I can I am extremely happy with these ratchets and look forward to the next how many years I have them because these are the next best ratchets just a quarter of the price Snap-on wants for almost a similar ratchet. Let’s just hope I do not loose either one this time, however I do seriously recommend this ratchets to anyone.
