    Seems like nice shocks
Installed theses today, October 3, 2023 on my 2005 Tacoma TRD. Pretty easy install using a couple 17mm wrenches. One was a ratchet wrench which speeds things up. These shocks came well packaged and only a day later than expected. From my research I expect these to last a good while and should perform well. I’ll write an update if there are any issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars These did the trick in stopping the trailer porpoising on gen 3 Tacoma off road.
Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2016
I have a 2500 lb home built travel trailer. Tongue load is 360 lbs. I've towed it a great deal with generation 2 tacomas with no problem. But on my new 2016 I was getting a huge amount of porpoising / up and down bouncing. Once it would get started it would bounce the rear end up and down for some distance. Made it very uncomfortable to drive, and somewhat uncontrollable. It was clear that the factory off road shocks, which are very soft, we're not designed for towing - even though the truck has the towing package and is rated to tow 6400 lbs. I've towed trailers for years, so I know all about loading and tongue load. Tongue load should be 10 to 15 % of trailer load at all times. The trailer is balanced correctly. Anyway after reading the Tacoma forums and finding many others having same trouble when towing a travel trailer with the new Tacoma I decided to give these a try in the rear. Many people on the forums said these shocks solved the problem. Easy installation. Lower bolt torque is 75ft lbs. top bolt is 15 ft lbs. The truck unloaded rides wonderfully. Maybe a little stiffer than before. But still a good ride. Even on dirt road still same quality ride as oem shocks. But as soon as I headed out with the trailer the difference was amazing!!! Where the back end of the truck would start bouncing and continue to bounce, now it's smooth as can be. This shock is a 2 inch shock. The factory off road shocks are a 1.5 inch shock. After towing for a while the factory shocks would be hot to the touch which makes sense that they just could not dampen the bounce. These new shocks are a 2 inch shock. They fit no problem. Just out a little soap on the runner ends to ease getting them in to the brackets at the bottom. What a difference. Thankfully. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have to engage Toyota in the problem. But $150 for a solution is reasonable. I'll put them on the front eventually. That's harder since the shocks are inside the coil springs. For now having them on the rear works great.

5.0 out of 5 stars 20-30 min install basic tools needed
Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2022
Easy install much better than factory shocks for the price. Although I wish they were a bit stiffer to compress but they've definitely improved my ride quality I've included pictures for my 2020 Tacoma install as well as what I believe is the correct bushing and washer order going off the old shocks order. I'll give a update later after I've put a few thousand miles on them and a couple of towing miles to give a true review on how they handle.
For the install tools you'll need include:
    14mm wrench open ended
    Vice grips
    Pb blaster
    Two 11/16 wrenches
    3/16 Allen wrench
Sawzall with metal blade(optional if your impatient- to cut off top nut)

5.0 out of 5 stars 2017 Tacoma Bilstein 5100. Great product!
Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2020
Installed these on the rear of my 2017 Tacoma TRD sport yesterday. The washer/bushing stack up was kind of confusing but after some YouTube and google cruising, I got it figured out (I think)

These seem like a really high quality product. I have a fiberglass canopy, roof rack, rooftop tent, and frequently haul camping gear and the stock shocks weren’t cutting it anymore. With these new shocks, the ride has noticeably improved. I can tell especially going over speed bumps. The suspension compresses, then has a nice smooth, dampened return back to ride height. They do their job and they do it well.
Five stars all the way, will be installing 5100’s on the front end this weekend!

4.0 out of 5 stars Christmas gift for myself
Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2018
One star deducted because the washer stack was not obvious. Factory washers looked to be better fit. Took 40 minutes to install because it took some work to get bottom bushing in the mount. After a quick lube with IPA they went in smooth. There is an Allen hex at the top of the stud to hold while installing the top nut unlike the OEM which had a flat. Only issue was I didn’t have a crows foot adapter to torque top nut. Noticed the rear did lift after these were installed, but figured it would lower after the bushings settle. Ride is s but stiffer than OEM but it feels great on street. They also look a lot better than rusted OEM shocks. I have 0 lift so boot is overly compressed. Once I add a 1” rear block lift I’m sure boot will look better. Not bad for under $150
