About this item
Best replacement for synthetic low viscosity ATF.
Backward compatible to replace DEXRON fluids in older automatic transmissions that call for DEXRON type ATF's as well as Honda applications that call for Z-1 ATF
Formulated with LXE technology to meet OEM requirements for shear stability, long term frictional stability, superior shift quality and anti-shudder properties
Cures sluggish transmission performance on cold mornings
Lubegard Complete Full Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid is a lubricant formulated for outstanding performance and efficiency in meeting or exceeding OEM requirements for reduced viscosity. Lubegard’s unique, proprietary LXE technology provides superior wear protection with improved frictional and shear stability (high film strength for the life of the fluid). This unique technology prevents and eliminates torque converter shudder, improves shift quality, and imparts excellent torque carrying capacity for long clutch and component life. LXE technology is seal and O-ring friendly, ideal for new, older and higher-mileage vehicles. Lubegard Complete Full Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid is recommended for automatic transmissions that require a fully formulated low viscosity ATF. It is suitable in use for DEXRON VI, Ford MERCON LV, MERCON SP, Toyota WS, Honda DW-1, Nissan Matic S, ZF Lifegard 6, and many more.

Used this fluid in place of the factory spec DW-1 fluid in my 2012 Honda Pilot with 5 speed transmission. It seems to be working well with a slight reduction in the shudder I would experience from time to time on the 1-2 gear shift. Only time will tel how long the fluid lasts. For what it’s worth, the fluid smells nicer than the factory fluid.
A lot of people don't realize how important changing your Atf fluid is.On the other hand you have manufacturers saying sealed for life never change Atf fluid (which is a lie, they want to sell you new one). A friend of mine has had to replace her 2004 Honda odyssey transmission twice ,the first time at 50k and the 2nd at 110k but, those Transmissions were huge weak points. He had no idea your supposed to change or check the fluid, he doesn't know anything about cars. I am a Postal carrier and my route is in the sticks and mountains of East Tenn ,nothing but stop and go. I have a 2009 Honda Crv Awd and I have 300k miles on the original transmission, engine and the only thing I have ever done was change the fluid every 40k miles and I also use Lube Guard Atf Platinum protection and Lube-Guard Engine oil additive. I did install a transmission fluid cooler but that's it.I have been using Lube Guard products for 20 years and have never had to replace a Auto transmission(fingers crossed),the Liquid wax Ester is a amazing tech.
If you haven't tried Lubegard products, you don't know what you are missing. I started getting a rough shift on my 2013 Lincoln MKT ecoboost from 2nd to 3rd. Did a full transmission fluid change using Lubegard and also added the Dr. Tranny shutter fix from them. 100 miles later you can't feel the car shifting anymore it's so smooth. I swear by their products and also love the Biotech engine oil additive. So far, I have 2 other vehicles at the 300,000 mark (Jeep Commander & Dodge Ram) and both have original engine and transmission. While I do swear by full synthetics during every oil change, I am a firm believer that adding Lubegard products has also gotten me there.
So far I used this on my BMW e38, Jeep xj, 96 Honday Odyssey, go kart wet clutch, and you can actually feel a positive difference in the shifting, smoothness and performance. I HIGHLY recommend this product.
After extensive research - Used in a BMW E60 550i with ZF 6HP26 transmission. There is a LOT of "debate" online around what you can and cannot use in these transmissions; BMW of course says use only their fluid which doesn't tell you anything about actual spec requirements, and if you go right to ZF you can find the actual specifications on what is recommended. This is one of the few fluids that DOES meet those specs, and it is half the cost. Been using for quite awhile and happy so far.
Ads claimed it eliminated transmission shutter. Did not in my case. I bought 20 bottles to throughly flush out the old fluid but noticed no difference in how my transmission worked. Maybe more hype than results
