The quality of this product was great but best of all the price was unbeatable. It shipped quickly from China to Alaska in only 2 weeks. I did a 3.4 swap on my 92 4runner, so it didn’t fit perfectly but I was able to modify it so that it fit right. You can never tell the difference

Fits on my 1999 Tacoma pretty well, make sure you get on tacomaworld and look for the thread on how to install it. Like everyone else said, template is off somewhat, and the rubber hose is a major PITA to get in. I will probably re-do my install to use more of the factory fender-well pipe

Extremely dissatisfied with this “hilux 167” snorkel.. this is our 3rd purchase/ installation and this unit DOES NOT LINE UP. It’s pitched way too far back and doesn’t allow the door to open or follow the fender ridge... placement is exactly the same as our other installs and you can see in the picture what I’m talking about. I called Amazon customer service twice. The first rep wasn’t helpful at all and made a bad situation a lot worst...I was heated. The 2nd call was much more pleasant and he actually listened to my concerns and issued a one time credit. Im still in this dilemma though.. It’s not like we just drilled our car and this came from China..where a pandemic started; so good luck to us finding a replacement ASAP. My only advise is when you get your snorkel, be prepared to the install ASAP and check if it lines up; at least you can go directly to this “third party” seller and ask for replacement/refund directly within “30 days”.

The rubber boot is junk. Ripped as soon as I tried to install it on the filter housing. The template sucks, does NOT match the kit. If you drill the holes where the template tells you to you will surely regret ruining your fender. Also the 3.5 hole is not big enough and you MUST square off the left side of the hole making it larger or you CANNOT put the snorkel tube through the fender hole. Mine looks awesome now that it’s installed. I used #10x3/8 stainless self tapping screws instead of the junk rivets but that was my choice along with some clear RTV. Good kit if you have some tools and ability. Thank god I had another snorkel kit I bought from Ebay that I robbed the boot from. Good luck!!!!

Fits US market 3rd Gen 4Runners

Great quality roto-molded snorkel. The mounting hardware is not cheap either and they even send some extra nuts and bolts. I chose not to use the blind rivets for the A-pillar mount and opted to use #8 1/2in self-tapping screws and Loctite. The rubber L-shape hose from the airbox to the snorkel ripped while I was fitting it to the airbox and I'll have to replace that. Be extremely careful and take your time as this rubber piece is hard to fit to the airbox. The mounting holes on the template do not match up and must be done by hand. GO SLOW, measure three times, drill once. Remember to seal everything up! Otherwise I'm highly satisfied and my truck seems to breathe easier and drive nicely. Application is a 1997 Toyota 4Runner 4WD manual trans in the US.
