After careful research, and much to my surprise (cost of units), I narrowed it down to the Optoma and Epson. Reading through countless testimonies of pros/cons for each, I felt this would be the best unit for the money. Not to mention, the price of replacing the bulb would be much less as well.
Unit arrived as promised. Basic setup instructions, CD (didn't work for some reason), and remote. Of course, I had to purchase a screen for displaying the unit on, so I went with the VonHaus 100" manual VonHaus 100-inch Widescreen Projector Screen (Manual Pull Down) - 16:9 Aspect Ratio Projection Screen I also needed a good quality LONG HDMI cable, so I went with MediaBridge's 35 foot cable Mediabridge ULTRA Series HDMI Cable (35 Feet) - High-Speed Supports 4K, Ethernet, 3D and Audio Return [Newest Standard] - (Part# 91-02X-35B )
Routed everything through my Yamaha RX-V867 receiver Yamaha RX-V867BL 7.2-Channel Home Theater Receiver , and actually set up the projector unit on a table-top stand. With minor tweaking and height adjustment, I was watching movies in no time at all.
For an added bonus, this unit displays 3D movies like a charm. Purchased a couple to watch, and was totally blown away! Of course, this required the purchase of some 3D glasses, and decided on using the JmGO's JmGO 2Pcs HGL1 DPL-Link 3D Glasses Rechargeable Active Black for DLP 3D Projector TV and really satisfied with those as well.
Picture is bright and clear. With 1080p from Blu-Ray discs, the clarity is astonishing. Having a nice home-theater receiver/system makes the experience even better, and feels like you're watching in a true theater. Can't beat it!
The only downside (CONS) to this unit, is the time it takes to tweak it. There are several things to consider as you try to get that "perfect' display, but you're not going to get the same richness of a back-lit LCD screen TV, so don't go there. I'm not saying the colors are off, but they just won't be as rich in some places. If you're wanting that kind of richness, then look at the units that are far more expensive than this one. But, if you're wanting an excellent projector for a great price, then look no further. I think you'll be completely satisfied.
PROS: Price -- hard to beat, ease of installation, user-friendly remote, great brightness with clarity, works well with 3D display. Very quiet unit.
CONS: Tweaking can be a bit timely, and depends on personal preference. Saturation of reds a bit underdeveloped -- minor tweaking will improve though. Requires two-tap to turn unit off.

CONS: Tweaking can be a bit timely, and depends on personal preference. Saturation of reds a bit underdeveloped -- minor tweaking will improve though. Requires two-tap to turn unit off.
PROS:
1: Out of the box the projector is wrapped up really nicely and tight, so they did a great job with the packaging.
2: Has a nice slick piano look and feel to it and it isn't too big that it takes a-lot of space and its not too heavy either.
3: Picture Quality is Amazing, for a 600 dollar budget projector that's Full 1080P you really cant go wrong with this. This actually beats most projectors that are 3-4Xs the price that i have seen in my local stores. and no its no LED Edge and its no Samsung so the colors aren't so super bright that everything is colorful, colors are just right on this projectors and with calibration the picture quality looks amazing.
4: 3D looks really good, not incredible looks really good, of-course I haven't tried the Vesa 3D so I can't judge it too much for this, specially since I'm using the DLP third party glasses. Lets just say 3D looks really good.( this is user preference)
5: This is a Plus and a must for me, This Projector was built for Gaming. Every game I have thrown at this projector it passed with flying colors from fast passed racing to multi-effect grenade explosion multi-missile targeting and FPS Games this game passed with little to no delay. the highest I have ever gotten on this projector was 37 milliseconds but no higher then that at times it really didn't go any higher then 17 milliseconds and it stayed at that for a few hours. Did I mention Picture Quality looks amazing.
6: It has 3000 Lumens, which means its great for rooms that have a-lot of lighting coming through their window or constantly have the light on like myself (recently since I installed this projector I haven't had to turn on the lights because its super bright that it brightens up my entire room)
7: Easy to use and setup, only took me less then 10 minutes hooking up setting up and adjusting the location where I needed it to be to get a good clear and big picture.
CONS:
1: My projector did not come with a lens cap, although it said it's suppose to come with a lens cap, I have heard that many others who purchased this projector complained that their unit didn't come with 1 either. Although I'm not going to reem them about this or give them a -1 star they should really take care to make sure everything is inside the box. (Glad for Amazons customer service upon realizing this and called them, they refunded me for the loss of the lens cap)
2: To me the projector feels cheaply made, it may be just me but it looks to me like they didn't put too much work on the built quality so at times I'm afraid that if it fell off my shelve the entire unit will get damaged completely. Of-course the picture quality of the projector will make up for it and make you forget that this projector feels so cheaply made. +1 (until it drops and splits in 2 LOL!!!)
3: This projector is really bright, I cant stress that enough, although it's not a big issue for me and this would be in a pro's section, for some this may be a big issue this projector could blind someone just by running into the beam for a few seconds.
4: Upon turning the projector on and ready to go, not only is the brightness and contrast set really bright but the colors seem a bit off making them look washed off whites had no detail on them. (With a little tweaking colors and whites looked really good with texture)
5: The projector does get quite hot so it produces a-lot of heat of-course with a really bright lamp its expected to get really hot.
6: Upon using, the fan is really loud, I had to tweak it a bit and change it to eco mode to tone down the fan because I could hear it working overtime. You have the choice of having a loud fan to help with some of the heating or let it run at a low db but increasing the heat ratio (wish they had a fan adjuster to set it to what level the fan would work at)
7: 3D looks good, not great but good, this isn't the manufactures fault since i haven't tried all available 3D options however this does not have 2d-3d conversion kinda disappointed since my last TV did have Real 2D-3D conversion and real 3D but not too disappointed. This is user preference.
8: This projector is a true 120hz however it only works when playing video games at 720p not 1080p that also includes playing 3D games at 720p, you can play 1080p 3d games but at 24hz definietly not going to play 3D games at 24hz. At 1080p 2D you will only play at 60hz, for most people this is a downfall, for me I'm not too upset that I'm going to freak out that I can't play at 120hz, I'm useto 60-120hz so in reality this is also a user preference.
So far the Pro's out weight the Con's and for a projector that produces an amazing 1080p with 3d picture quality you cant go wrong this projector. One Very Happy Customer.

Remote control is more than adequate, note that there's no digital zoom adjustment possible (using the remote) when viewing 3D content, so it must be adjusted before to match your viewing screen. If I had one complaint it would be that the backlight on the remote is TOO bright!
To be brutally honest if I were forced to nitpick I'd have to say that the projector has a slightly higher than expected fan and DLP wheel sound, and it does get HOT. Also the fan shuts off very quickly in my opinion compared to all the other projectors I've had. I would definitely purchase this again.
