Assembly was surprisingly easy. It can be done by one person if you can lift 40-50 lbs over your head.
The pictorial instructions are fairly good. The tarps are held to the horizontal poles by what I would call bungee buttons that loop through the eyelets. They also have velcro straps to secure them to the vertical poles.
There are a couple of changes I would make to the instructions: Be careful you have each tarp right side out. The roof has eyelets on the inside. The side walls have velcro straps on the inside. The end walls have seams that point up on the inside and down on the outside.
You'll want to button the end walls to the roof poles after you put legs on one side but before you put the legs on the other side. Otherwise you will need a 7 ft step ladder to do it because the roof is out of reach. Two, you will want to put on both side walls at the same time, starting from one end and alternating the buttons from one side to the other. Route them through to eyelets and around the pole as shown on the instructions. If you put all the buttons on one side first, they will pull the roof tarp off center.
Otherwise it's a snap. Seems pretty sturdy and durable. The tarps are relatively heavy woven polyethylene that has been sealed on both sides with some kind of coating. We'll see how it holds up to weather and intense UV radiation. Seems fine after a couple weeks.
The only nitpicks I have are that the seams aren't 100% waterproof, there are a couple places where they drip a little, and the doors are difficult to roll up and buckle by yourself because they are so long and floppy.
All for not much more than a good car cover costs.
Update after 18 months: I did eventually add a 16x20 tarp on top of the roof to stop the annoying leaking at the seams about a foot in from the sides. I also ran some long strings under the doors to the top so I can pull the strings to roll up the doors.
Secured to trees with strong straps and feet staked to the ground, has held up just fine to normal winds up to about 50 mph. I did take it down once for a forecast hurricane. The fabric has been durable as well, no rips or raveling.
I'm seriously considering another one to put end-to-end with this one for more room.
Update 2: Two years in, some of the sewn-on Velcro straps on the sunniest corner have torn off at the seams. No doubt the intense UV here has rotted the thread. The fabric is still OK.
The wind stopped the next day and, being unable to unwedge the unit, we borrowed some long ladders and disassembled the unit in place piece-by-piece. This disassembly required a lot of not-by-the-book twisting and torquing of the structure. When we got it all down and did an inventory, we found one of the steel 4-way connectors had a cracked weld and the roof canopy was shredded in a dozen places. Given that this unit had been through something that so far exceeded what could be considered "normal wear and tear," I was amazed that none of the steel poles were bent in the slightest.
I contacted the vendor (Sorara Outdoor) and told them my story. They said, "you're still in warranty, can you send some pictures?" Four days after I sent the pictures, UPS brought me a completely new roof canopy.
There were dozens of ways Sorara could have quibbled their way out of this but they didn't; they just replaced the damaged product, near the end of the warranty, no questions asked. And did it with exceptional courtesy throughout the process.
Update: So far through it's first Oregon coast winter, the canopy has survived up to 30 mph winds, lots of rain. Now the bad news: Be aware that there is no ventilation other than unzipping the ends. In our climate, it traps moist air inside and leaves things badly mildewed.
