i got this a few months ago, filled it with 6 2tb SSDs, hooked it all up to my sata ports, and it hasnt even stuttered since. i dont know how well its going to last, but it doesnt look like its going to break anytime soon.
I can complain about stuff, but it does right what really matters to me. It was super easy to install, i filled it with drives before putting the bay in the pc, and hooked up all the connectors, if i remember correctly, the power sata cable can be difficult to plug in because the data sata can be in the way. Once its installed, it just works, 24/7 operation for months now.
sure the quality is cheap plastic, the hinges can get stuck on pulling out a drive. the screw holes arent very well thought out. you can screw into a drive when mounting this to your 5.25 bay, it wont break the drive, just make it impossible to take the drive out normally, so be carefull about that, check where all your screws are going.
But it just works.

Upon installation, I had to wiggle & reinsert drives multiple times to get the drives to plug in.
The SATA connections in the back are a bit loose, even though the ports accept locking cables (which I am using high-quality cables).
I had several ports require cables to be inserted a few times before all 6 bays came online.
I was concerned that I spent an hour performing detailed cable routing only to face having to possibly do it all over again for another 6 bay unit of better quality.
Luckily i was able to find a unit that was nearly identical in connectivity and spared myself that fate.
I returned this item and purchased the:
ICY DOCK Full Metal 6 x 2.5 SAS/SATA HDD/SSD Mobile Rack Enclosure for 5.25" Bay
ToughArmor MB608SP-B
I would steer clear of this very sloppy, plastic 6 bay unit unless you are in a SERIOUS budget crisis.
If you DO use this, I would consider screwing in all the drives to the sleds and wiping a bit of silicone lubricant on the sled sides and the connectors on the HDD.
Concerning the SATA cable looseness, I would insert those and use something to stabilize these once inserted. I have seen people use a single bit of parchment paper to ensure the cables are firmly pused toward the contacts on the backplane.
From there I would maybe put a dot of hot-glue on the connectors to prevent them from "wiggling".
After all this, the only problem you'll likely face is the difficulty with insertions and removals of the drives.
If you can, i would STRONGLY advise you to get the Tougharmor unit instead.
I built a diy nas with two of these and have loved every second of it. I am sporting 12 1tb old drives in raid-z2 with a total of around 9 usable tb of data.
Great easy to build nas and my total cost has come out to be around 300 which for a dual cord 4 thread cpu and 8gb of ram, aint to bad (not to mention i put a cheap 2.5g NIC inside for future proofing)
While this worked perfectly for me, you can easily put this in a desktop for built in raid storage if you know how to set it up yourself. Love the 85 dollar price tag on a huge value like this.
Also, just for reference, people say the fans in the back are loud but tbh, I haven't heard them at all. They are keeping my drives perfectly cool too so no worries there.
10 out of 10, would DEFINITELY buy again!

The only this is that only slim/normal 2.5 SATA drives fit.
My SAS SSD drives do not fit. I cannot tell about performance with SAS 12Gbps as they did not fit.
