47 customers mention18 positive29 negative

Customers are mixed about the quality of the circuit breaker. Some mention it's well made, holds up under heavy current, and feels reliable. Others say that it breaks internally, is easy to crack, and does not hold up when used in a vehicle battery/inverter system. The hold-open insulator shim is very weak and can fracture.

Customers are dissatisfied with the ease of use of the circuit breaker. They say it trips for no reason, is easy to trip, and trips too early. Some say that the breaker is hot all the time and cannot trip it.

"...But it trips way too early. It's a 30 amp breaker, so I don't expect it to trip at 26 amps. Wasn't hot, room temp...." Read more

"...Used it on my boat for a 12v trolling motor. It would trip while having the trolling on on high speed...." Read more

"...It would trip after about an hour when running a 75 amp load, and would immediately trip at 150 amp load...." Read more

"...Will trip when put under load from 900 watt microwave. Should be able to handle the load, but does not...." Read more

10 customers mention0 positive10 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the voltage of the circuit breaker. They mention that it causes a huge voltage drop as it heats up, and it stops passing voltage when the system is turned up for a couple of seconds. Some customers also say that it would immediately trip at 150 amp load and would not handle rated current.

"...Noticed my voltage out was low, it should have been fully charged cause I had just gotten back from town which is a 2.5 hour trip by itself...." Read more

"...The breaker will pop and I’ll lose all power on my trolling motor. Go to the back, reset the breaker and go back to work...." Read more

"...It never tripped but no power is getting through the breaker. I only got 4 months use out of it. Not much bang for your buck here...." Read more

Used three of these is my travel trailer between the solar panels, charge controller, battery and inverter. They were pricier than normal fuses but having the cut off switch is super convenient.Install completed a couple of months ago and have only used the system a few times but happy so far.

I got this particular circuit breaker because it was the only one I saw that has a plastic cap covering the metal where the wire gets connected. I might just be paranoid but I would rather not have something like that exposed so that there could possibly be metal to metal contact causing a spark or a fire under the hood. I'm using 4 AWG wire in the circuit breaker connected to an auxiliary fuse box inside my Jeep and its so simple to hook up that even a caveman could do it. I haven't overloaded it yet, so I don't 100% know if it will trip over 100 amps or not but I hope so. I did trip it on and off to verify that it did in fact cut power to my fuse box. It did so I'm happy with it. The price is nice and it doesn't look too bad under my hood.

First time out and was going against the current. Overload the trolling motor and the breaker tripped saving my trolling motor. Glad I put one on instead of fuses.

Definitely holds up under heavy current, but the terminals are too short and too close to the body to directly attach a good quality lug. I bought nice copper lugs to attach them to 2/0 AWG cable and had to use a copper plate bus bar and another post to get them to attach nicely. The reset is a little over-sensitive as well... even a slight bump of the reset button will trip the breaker into an open setting. (so make sure you have nothing that can fall or lay on the button or you'll be constantly reseting it back closed)

Once installed they work exactly as advertised... good quality current protection for low-voltage circuits at a good low price. Being able to open the circuit with a tap of a button is VERY nice, especially when your dealing with 250 amps at 24 volts DC. (knowing that the lethal levels of current are COMPLETELY disconnected makes fixing wiring issues much more comfortable of a job!)

Very useful in configuring my RV DC system. I used these for isolating my solar panels from the charge controller and battery. And for isolating my voltage inverter from the battery. They are compact, easy to wire, configure and mount. Seem well- built and available in a variety of amperages.

I liked the fact that it was clear where the power needs to connect in and out of this unit. The last one I had was a little smaller and it tripped all of the time. Not too sure if I was running too much voltage or if it was wired backwards and tripping the beaker because of that. The old one had no markings on how to wire it.

This didn't even last 6 months while building my project car. Used it between my relocated battery and the main line of power to the fuse boxes/car, and simply switching it on/off manually to check things and one day it just stops working. I ended up tearing it apart and hot wiring it until a better quality unit came in. I'm sure if you installed this and just left it be, it would be fine. But it doesn't have any durability whatsoever.
