I have a class A motorhome. It has a rear view mirror that can barely see anything. I bought this product to be able to have an effective rear view mirror. I purchases two cameras and set them up on the back corners of the RV. I positioned them so that the edge of each just shows what is straight back from the RV. With 170 degree cameras I get a full view of the sides of the MH and the back. This gives a wrap around effect in the mirror with the two displays. I did have some issues with the buttons acting weirdly until I wired the power to an on/off button I installed over the drivers seat. Now when I power it on, it powers the cameras and the mirror and everything appears. I do not have to mess with the mirror buttons. When I am done driving, I power it off. This has worked well for over a year. I am very happy with the product and it makes driving the MH alot easier.

This thing isn't worth the money.
First, it receives a lot of interference from other electronics nearby. Second, one of the screens has already broken and I've only had it for a few months or so. It just flashes. It's cheap junk and a waste of money. do you know how difficult it is to find a dual monitor on Amazon that allows for two RCA video plugins that's also not a cheap piece of junk? It's almost impossible.

I tried to contact the company to get a replacement even though I'm outside of the refund window and they claim they are willing to help me but yet they have an infinite supply of excuses why they can't do it right now.

If I were you, and I would look into converting the RCA feeds into HDMI or 4 pin so that you can increase your options of monitors to pick from. You can get adapters here on Amazon pretty easily. But seriously, don't buy this.

I like it so far, It seems to be well worth the money. I've only had it installed for a day and I haven't had that much time to play with it but if something goes wrong with it then i'll update my review.

Installation on a 2017 Prius Prime

My main purpose for using this dual monitor is to view left and right hand blind spots when I put turn signals on. To accomplish this, I mounted cameras underneath each side mirror, facing back and outwards so just a small portion of side of my car is in view. This required removing door panels and the mirrors themselves.

The dual monitor clips over the existing factory rear view mirror with the wire bundle running in the headliner and down the driver slide pillar and into the side of the dash. Opening the panel on the side dash reveals a large opening to place all the wires. Only video inputs #2 and #4 are used to connect to the blind spot cameras. An "Add A Fuse" line was use to power the monitor unit and the cameras. The "Add Fuse" was plugged into the cigarette lighter fuse slot.

To test the cameras, put 12v to yellow and green trigger wires. When doing this, the left and right monitors should turn on. When you remove the +12v, there will be a short delay and the monitors will turn off. Next to control this with your turn signals, you will need to run wires from blinker bulbs to the dash, and connect left bulb to yellow wire and right bulb green to wire. Now when turning on blinkers, the monitors should displays images. When blinker is turned off, after a delay, the monitor will turn off.

If you want, you could add two more cameras to video inputs #1 and #3. Maybe a front and a back camera. If you do this then they will be displayed on the monitor as long as those cameras are powered on but will be over ridden with the blinkers are activated. Since you need this as a rear view mirror, you should put a switches on the dash to manually turn on/off these cameras.

Installation is not too difficult but you will need to remove door panels for the side cameras and the whole rear bumper to get to the rear blinkers.

Didn’t work out because when we opened the box it’s not what we expected. Returned without using this and also there was no instructions on how to install or use it

After a few weeks the backup camera stopped working and the touch screen stopped responding.

This works with the blind spot cameras. Snaps right over your existing rear view mirror. I use this for my RV for additional view mirrors alone don't pick up.
