To view video, you have to use an additional mobile device (I used an older mobile phone) and connect to Blackview via wi-fi and the Blackview app. The problem is that when using the wi-fi connection, you cant use wi-fi for internet (standard practice in my Middle East country where I work). Starting up the mobile and Blackview, connecting, and getting the video going takes me about 5 minutes after starting my vehicle. Viewing the video on the mobile is not necessary and Blackview will record whether the mobile is connected via wi-fi or not. It is fairly simple to transfer video files via the wi-fi connection and app to the mobile for transferring the file to a computing or video editing device. Takes a little trial and error, but pretty intuitive.
I had seen a review with remarks about heat, and I have not been in a hot environment yet to give my opinion. I am in a region with very hot summers, and will put this to some extreme testing soon, I am sure.
Overall I am happy with performance at this point.
