Product Description
Building a modern overland/expedition vehicle requires a lot of power for all those desired electronic accessories. It's a good idea to set up an auxiliary fuse block system to properly centralize, control and protect your auxiliary power connections to avoid headaches and hazards while on the trail. We've designed a custom, brushed aluminum auxiliary fuse block bracket that easily bolts to factory mounting positions and is compatible with Toyota Tacomas 2nd genertaion (2005 - 2015). Lightweight and durable, this bracket is compatible with 6-circuit or 12-circuit ST Blade Fuse Block systems and the 187 Series Thermal Circuit Breaker from Blue Sea Systems. The bracket helps you create a clean, custom and fully protected auxiliary power system for most auxiliary electronics. Important to note, manual transmissions will need to relocate the clutch fluid reservoir to use this bracket.

2014 Tacoma TRD OR
Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2023
2014 Tacoma TRD OR
First, without modification, this bracket is incompatible with Tacomas with a manual transmission, and the fender-side-mounted clutch fluid reservoir. Mine's a 2009 and while it fits amazingly well for mounting it, the bracket edge makes hard and direct contact with the fluid hose. That's a severe issue, as any driving would cause this to eventually slice through. So, it has to be modified. I modified mine by marking where the hose hits, then cutting a rounded hole back to where no contact would be made, then used some plastic trim to further protect the hose.
Second, the edges of this thing are bloody sharp. Must be a straight cut, fold, then ship, because wow -- sharp edges. That doesn't work particularly well around electrical wires and hydraulic tubing. So, I identified where contact was possible, and added some more of the plastic trim-edge, and feel that it's now amended.
Overall, this product meets expectations -- especially at the price -- but to not have it compatible with manual transmission models without bigger modification is a bit of an issue. I would almost rather have the bracket come blank, with no pre-drilled and cut holes, too, since my use for it was a big cut-out switch for my winch (don't want 700 CCAs running into the front bumper at all times...), and to relocate the winch control plug to it. Worked great for that, but had to finesse around the pre-drilled holes.
