Used these adapters for installing aftermarket 6.5" speakers in the rear doors of my '07 Tacoma Ext. Cab.They worked out well. I suggest using some kind of speaker gasket material between the mount and door and to insulate the speaker to the grill.

Holes in the brackets will fit up to a 1/4in dia screw, the holes in my door were the right size after drilling out the rivets.

I have tried 3 different types of these adapters, there are 2 universal adapters all car installers sell (I cannot remember their brand names) but they are a simple flat ring, that ALWAYS breaks. THIS is much more rigid and resilient than the other 2 brands matter a fact one doesn't even need to know those other names because you have found this, and I'd recommend it over them all day long.
