The pad has a ton of functionality

The pad has a ton of functionality
I have a 13-month-old, so admittedly, he can't utilize this item to its full potential, but he still enjoys pushing the many buttons on the "gaming pad." In fact, the pad actually features a ton of options. The obvious ones are the A-to-Z buttons and the keyboard. However, there are 4 different modes, so the A-to-Z buttons can also be objects, while the keyboard can be numbers. The pad also asks questions, so it is actually interactive, and not just a random noise-maker. There are 2 "difficulty" levels, so that's another magnitude of functionality. Additionally, the blue thumb joystick plays short EDM-like sound clips. The gaming pad is detachable, and the chair can also just be used as a simple sitting apparatus.Anyway, a couple of minor issues...there are 2 volume levels, but both are actually somewhat soft (this might be a good thing, but I suppose in comparison to many of the other toddler toys that I have, the sound of this gaming chair is somewhat subdued). Secondly, this item comes packaged with pretend-headphones. This is literally just a piece of plastic. There is no foam or padding or anything else, just a weird piece of plastic fake headphones. I suppose a particularly imaginative child could utilize these, but they should have at least been designed a bit more thoughtfully (e.g., more hollowed-out ear areas or maybe a button on them). Also, this does require 2 AA batteries (which are included), but the product description advises that they are just for demonstration purposes. And this is more of a play DJ set than a gamer set, but I doubt your child will care. It's lightweight, offers lots of interactive buttons, and my toddler seems to like it, so it's all good on my side.
