Fit great on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma

Used these to mount some older Polk dome tweeters in a 2007 Tacoma. Worked very well even though I had to enlarge the holes to match my tweeters. They are quite a bit thicker than the metal OEM mounts but still fit without issue. I expected the material to be a solid plastic but it is more of a dense foam core that is easier to cut. Quite pleased with the mounts and loving the sound upgrade compared to my old factory tweeters.

I picked these up to help with tweeter installation in a 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner. The front doors ship with wacky 2-3/4 drivers and I wanted to try some components instead.

The 1" wide tweeters that came with my kit fit in the brackets perfectly, and they screwed right onto the door mount. I used a bit of hot glue to secure the tweets in place.

You could definitely make these with a piece of wood if you have a bandsaw/jigsaw, but at the price I think the cost v. time equation works out. These may help you out.

Worked perfect on a 2018 Subaru Forester

So I got these and as expected I had to modify a bit to get the tweeter to fit into this mold. It's a solid 1/4" thick of some type of PVC/Rubber composite. I tried using a utility knife and carving out the hole a bit larger and that was ill advised. Lucky I didn't lose a finger.

So searched through my garage and realized I had a small drum sander attachment for my cordless drill. It was about 3/4" in width and once I traced the size of the hole i needed on to the adapter, it took about 10 minutes of sanding out that hole to get it where it needed to be. Mounted the tweeter and screwed it in to the dash. I'm not gonna tell you how long it took me to get the first one done, but once i figured that out, the 2nd one was a breeze. From detaching the old tweeter, boring the hole, mounting the new one and installing it...the process took me 15 minutes at the most!

Perfect fit for 2015 Subaru Forester

I wanted to add some tweeters to my 2015 Subaru Forester, however, the tweeter kit offered by Subaru costs almost $100. I'm not an audiophile, so I don't feel the need to spend that kind of money, especially when a pair of decent tweeters costs less than $20. The problem? Well, the mounting location for the tweeters does not permit much variance (i.e., you really need to use the tweeters sold by Subaru since there are very few choices for tweeters that will fit properly). I did a little research and found these adapters and decided to give them a try. They are a perfect fit for the Forester. These adapters offer good flexibility for various sizes of tweeters. I used the tweeter as a template and enlarged the hole on the adapter to slide in the tweeter. I used a small amount of marine quality silicone to seat the tweeters on the adapter, screwed the adapter into the tweeter housing and voila, tweeters in place and working fine.

I've bought these twice now, first for a stereo upgrade for my truck and then for my fathers truck. In both cases I've needed these to create a speaker mount for the replacement tweeters for sets of components speakers in the front part of the cab.

The good news is that bolt holes in mount are an exact match for the bolt holes in a Toyota Tacoma for the smaller tweeters/mid range speakers in the front door/dash (location depends on whether you have a 3rd or 2nd gen Toyota Tacoma). The bad news (if you could call it that) is that cutout needs to be modified to fit your particular tweeter. In my case I ended up using a 1.75" circular saw to enlarge the hole to the right size for my use.

However, that being said, without making a large number of variations of these mounts, I don't really see any practical way around it for the manufacturer, and for the price I really can't complain. It's a DIY project anyway, so I'd expect a certain amount of work to be involved. After cutting the hole to the right size I also ended up using lock-tight silicone grout to make sure the tweeter didn't eventually vibrate itself loose from the mount.

The stereo(s) ended up sounding great, and should I need to do another similar project, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again.

This is a great design. I had to mount to the back of the tweeter brackets in the front doors because the tweeters I purchased rubbed against the front door panels and I did not want no space tolerance. If you decide to mount to the rear, you’ll have to shave off a bit of material from the rear lower portion of the adapter for bracket clearance. It’s a very easy process. Mounting it to the back creates ample clearance and I would imagine it would work for any tweeter. Refer to the pictures for clarification. I’m extremely satisfied with these adapters. L
