I'm trying this out for my aftermarket USB Android Auto connection. The install was easy. I just pulled the plastic trim out, drilled a 1" hole (it took a little sanding to make it fit. A 1-1/16" hole would probably have worked better), and connected it to the back of my Pioneer AVH-4200NEX.
The usb port has a very tight connection which I like, and so far everything works as expected. If I run into any issues, I'll update this review.
