About this item
- Very sticky self-adhesive 80 mil automotive butyl and foil sound deadening. It is user-friendly viable material suitable for DIY installation. Noico is really efficient and easy-to-install
- Now the material is 1,5 times thicker that will get you 1,5 times more effective insulation. Noico 80 mil is 1,5 times better in comparison to sound deadening material of 50 mil. The thicker the material the more performance you get
- Automotive self-adhesive insulation consists of butyl. Noico sound deadening has a total weight of 0.7 pounds/1 square feet. This weight ensures maximum efficiency and sound insulation that could be possibly gained from 80 mil thickness material. Noico 80 mil is full weighted sound deadening material
- Audio insulation Noico has a special indicator as to if it is installed correctly. The special embossing on the foil must be rolled out till it is plain smooth, then you'll be 100% sure that the soundproofing is set correctly and professionally. The sound dampening material comes in handy size sheets which make it easier in terms of cutting and installation process
- Sound deadening material specifications: Nominal thickness 80 mil; Total coverage area of 10 square feet; Number of sheets in the stack 10 (sheets are folded) or 19 sheets (Not folded) ; Nominal sheet Size 14,5x10 inch (When 10 folded sheets) or 10x8 inch (When 19 Not folded sheets).

1) I purchased a cheap roller, mainly due to the small size needed for all the nooks I had to deal with. If you're using the product on a larger, smoother surface, spring for a better roller. I used to have a heavy rubber roller with a wood handle and heavy steel roller frame, which I miss dearly, look for one of those. The cheap, lightweight style makes it very difficult to compress the diamond-shaped impressions on the metal outer surface smooth, as the instructions direct you to do.
2) The instructions say the use of heat is optional. Use it-after sticking the product down and before you roll. Use a hair dryer or a heat gun (on low), you'll get significantly better results and the product will conform to oddly-shaped surfaces better.
3) The product cuts very easily and cleanly with with any average pair of scissors.
4) As you can see from the photos, I used metal tape on the seams and edges. I recommend this, as it keeps the roller from sticking to the butyl along the edge and will assure that the edges never lift-although the product is sticky enough that I doubt it would anyway. The first pic is everything cut and laid out, the second is the finished job. I used less than half of the box for this job, including what I used on the license plate.

The price on this is great for the value, and it cuts very easily to fit whatever space you have. Its heavy duty but can rup easy if you dont wrap it in every nook and cranny.
I have a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium and placed as much of this product as I could in every door panel and in the trunk lid. I would highly suggest getting a roller to apply it where you can get the roller to fit, but also a sturdy pair of scissors to cut it.
It says that you're supposed to roll it until you can't see the pattern, but it's really best effort. If you can't roll out the pattern, it's no big deal. Just press it down as best you can. I didn't prep any surfaces. Super easy to apply! I wouldn't bother with gloves. Just do the coverage as best you can. It can be tedious, but think about it, you're already taking panels off and you don't want to have to take them off again to add more, so do it right. Get panel removing tools.
I did have to add some extra from a previous box I had, to finish the job, but I covered every place I could without having to cut it into tiny chunks.
It made a difference in the sound inside the car, which I think is tough to describe. It just sounds more "solid" when blasting music loud. Standing outside the car, it doesn't rattle with it turned all the way up. I mean, there is some slight trunk rattle, but that's with 600 watts pushing two 10s. It's infinitely better than those cars at stop lights with their trunks rattling like crazy.
