to stop hyper blinking. The relay is a pretty simple install, but a bit of a pain to get to the Fuse box area where the relay is plugged into the top of the fuse box. YouTube will have several videos of access to the fuse box. Requires several bolts to be removed from the lower dash area under the steering wheel and bolts that hold the fuse box in place. (Important to take care when pushing the fuse box back into place) that you don't pinch or stretch any existing wiring.
It's worth it to replace the blinker because otherwise you will need to install resistors when you change the "Turn Signal" bulbs. We did not have hyper blink issues with side marker, parking lights, back - up lights, ONLY when bulbs that blink did this become a problem.
Note, Toyota's with running lights will have a different set-up and blinker relay. So make sure when searching you note the running lights. So far, the bulbs have worked without problem, an improvement in brightness and lower power requirements which help with battery drainage
