    works almost as it should

    with a little filling got it to work great. Once I cranked it, i could not get the crank off, I had to take a hammer to it. a little filling and it works good now, only reason 4 stars

    Cocker will fit a Bear X Trek 380 with careful modifications

    The tech rep at Bear archery told me they did not have a crank cocker for my crossbow - a Bear X Trek 380. But the Bear video about this cocker said it would fit all the X model bows...well almost. I had to buy two 1 1/2" 10x24 cap screws because the ones provided were too short for my bow - then the mounting bracket fit nicely and absolutely snugly. BUT I had to use a fine rasp to carefully remove some of the hard rubber at the front of the comb of the buttstock so the cocker could slide into place - it slides in and fits perfectly now. Second issue - the sled was just a bit too narrow to fit over the rail on this bow - again, very gingerly and gradually widened the opening on the bottom of the sled until it would fit onto the rail - being very careful not to weaken the hooks that ...
