I gave it 4 stars. I have other AR500 steel targets that I shoot with 5.56 ball at 100+ yards and 240 gr 44 rem mag hard cast bullets at 20-75 ft. and they defect off without leaving any visible dents. I shot the Titan AR500 steel target with 230 gr 45 APC ball ammo at 25, 30 and 35 feet and it left small dents. I angel all my targets so the bottom is tilted backward at about 15 ° - 20 ° degree. It’s still a great price, but you can expect to get small dents from larger caliber handguns and rifles. It should not effect the performance only the appearance.

So I purchased this ar500 style plate and when it first arrived I was impressed on the size, weight and quality of the plate. I finally had the ability to test the plate today (1 month) after building a suspended style target stand (swinging) I placed the target about 120 yards away and started to shoot away. The loud gong we heard was perfect for increasing our confidence but it was at this point where everything unraveled. When we checked the plate we found out we were punching through the plate and completely warped the plates integrity. We shot standard ammo (California is too strict on what we can own) I feel the description was misleading in stating fun for “years” as the plate had a 1 and done use. Shot with .223 from a standard ar15

Setup at 150yds and shot with calibers ranging from .22 to .308 and it did pretty well. It appears these larger steel targets absorb all the projectile's energy, and because of this it creates small craters in the steel. I expect over time this may effect it's longevity.

Only used with handgun loads, but it's been a great addition to my steel targets.

Save your money, buy a different target from a different company. This target is not of the same quality as other ar500 targets. I’m not happy with the target that I purchased it’s cheap steel
