Ok so I have the stock BFGoodrich Rugged Trails on my 2012 Tacoma. Currently these tires sit with 24k miles but after examining the tires yesterday, I noticed some breakage and now thinking I may need to replace them. Is this picture showing tire rot, or early signs of? BFG has a 6 year standard warranty, not sure what this will do for me...so can anyone chime in?

Nope. Thats from atmospheric oxidation and smog. Pretty normal. Just keep them coated with good tire conditioners.

Tires can crack because they are exposed to the elements and the constant heating and cooling cycles of driving: Ozone, acid rain, chemicals, the sun, hot asphalt and freezing, salty, roads…it’s a lot of abuse for a piece of rubber to take a tire over the years!

Read your warranty's fine print to see what they are covered for. Personally I would change them for something better and never look back! I got ride of my stocks with 5K miles on them didn't want to wait to get the use of better tires till they wore out. Look at this as a sign to upgrade!
