manual locking hubs purchase

Hey new to this forum. I bought an 01 taco dlx v6 4x4 with a spacer lifts on the front. Im looking at upgrading suspension. purchased manual locking hubs from 4wheelparts.com. after purchasing, i noticed that it said 26 spline. Now being that i also have to replace my cv shafts, i also researched those and the description for those say its a 30 spline. Whos right?

 

You need a lot of items to swap to manual hubs. There are a few places that offer full kits in the $1200 range IIRC.

Technician A says you should always check the spline count before purchasing manual locking hubs
Technician B says you need a bunch more stuff to switch over to manual hubs than just the hubs and you just opened a giant can of worms
Who is right?

 

A manual hub swap requires a fair amount of parts and time.
