The other day, early in the morning I got pulled over by a town cop. He kindly let me know that my drivers side head light was out. Great!. It works on high beam but not on low beam. So like a good citizen I purchased a new set of bulbs ASAP.
I quickly installed them soon as I returned to my abode. During the installation I was careful not to touch the bulbs and I wore gloves. Well the problem persists. The drivers side works on high but not on low. The fuses look good. I'm at a loss at what he problem could be. Any clues?

    Thanks,

    Jake

You got me pickle minded bud! I think you may just have a series of bad luck. I'd check the connection to the back of the bulb and put some extra electric grease in in. If I was you I would swap the bulbs around just to make sure you didn't buy a bad bulb for some weird reason.

Yep. I referenced my owners manual. I checked fuses 12-15 just to be sure.

Sounds like a wiring/ground issue? I'm no electrical guru, but I'd look at the back of the headlamp and the wiring to see if there's corrosion and run a test on the wiring at the back of the bulb. Then you'd have to work back through the wiring. Good luck!!! I hope you get it fixed.

Start by checking voltage at the socket.

If none, work your way upstream until you find it. Somewhere between those two points will be the problem.

If it does have 12v at the socket, it can only be the bulb or the actual connection of the socket to the bulb.
