    Raid 0 for speed and cap. 480 gig.
    Havn't found a game yet that I can't run "Full" on everything.
    Even with VS on.
    Cleaned it up and did some wire management. So now i'm gonna beef up my laptop abit.

    The windows experience score on the desktop is 7.8
    And its 5.9 on the laptop. But thats the lowest subscore which is the crappy hdd. Everything else is 7.4.
    So hopefully bumping the hdd with a samsung 840 pro with boost the score up.

    Too bad you can't load the whole OS into RAM. It makes an SSD seem slow.

    I have Ramdisk and have tried some speed tests using my 840 pro's in raid 0
    over large files stored on ram. The numbers are off the chart.
    Unfortunately, Ramdisk I believe resets itself after a shutdown/restart.

    Here is my 2X samsung 840 pro's in raid 0.
    And some misc sata 2/3 hdd's that I have in my system.
    The bottom one is Ramdisk utility speeds using only the trial version at 4gb.

    Super stable but I think I'll be swapping this chip out soon for the new Haswell :)

    Added another 16gb of ram.
    New egg....cheap!! doubt it adds any performance value but it was a great deal nonetheless.

    Got some mid range racing sim parts coming in piece by piece.
    Received my Fanatec Porsche GT3 v2 wheel today. Unfortunately, I can't try it out as my clutch/brake/gas pedals wont be here till wed. :(

    Compared to matic's rig my specs are horrible, but it gets the job done for me. Looking to upgrade to an i5 4690k or possibly an i7 eventually though.

    Athlon 760k @ 3.8 GHz stock clock
    Crucial Ballistix 8gb RAM, may add another but don't really see the need to.
    Sapphire Radeon R9 280x 3gb GPU
    MSI a78-E35, biggest mistake was made here. Can't even upgrade to a better AMD cpu if I wanted to, which I don't.
    Antec 620 High Current Gamer.
    Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb HDD

    Mainly a steam rig and for browsing. [​IMG]

    That's how my Biostar TA-790GX was. I had a Phenom II X4 965 BE. A lot of their other boards were getting support for the Phenom II X6 chips. Ended up getting a i7-2600k as my next chip.

    That's an interesting case.
    All my Fanatec racing sim stuff came in a few weeks ago. Trying to decide if I want to get 2 more 2560x1440 monitors or go with a single 37" led smart television for my sim screens.

    If this thread is still being bumped, milk crate PC still lives but now with an i7-4790k, MSI Gaming 5 and another 8gb of ram.
