Switch Blank Size Under AC Control

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering about the switch blanks that are under the AC controls. On my truck the blanks under the AC controls are smaller than the blanks to the left of the steering wheel. Was there ever a time when the blanks were the same size for each location or have they always been the smaller size under the AC controls. I was just on the Air on Board website and their breakdown of switch sizes vs year of truck has me a little confused.
