    Hi,

I just purchase my second Taco (2015). First was a 1990. I love the new truck, but found the console cup holders to be annoying. The rubberized inserts only fit one beverage size, and that one size doesn't fit my preference for REI Camp Bottles (32 oz). I researched whether there are any after-market replacements and found none. While searching, I learned that Toyota used to use a Cup Holder Insert that is adjustable to fit other sizes. Again, I researched and could find no confirmation that I might be able to replace new for old.

Today, I took my truck in for its first 5000 mile service, and while there talked with the Parts Department. They were willing to let my try fitting it in my truck. I am pleased to report (in case you also want to use a larger bottle) that the adjustable insert actually fits as though it was made to work in my 2015. I simply removed both of the rubberized inserts, and slid the adjustable model into the grooves that are still included in the console. Couldn't be easier than that.

If you are interested in making the same adjustment, the Toyota part number that I purchased is: 55604-04010. I've seen similar parts listed on eBay, but don't know if they are the same or different part number, as it seems this style was officially in use between 2006 and 2010.

I hope this helps anyone else with the same question, as I couldn't find the answer here or elsewhere.

Fixed the model years for you. Yeah it's about $30 on eBay. For example (not endorsing this particular seller in any way): http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-TACOMA-CUP-HOLDER-INSERTS-05-06-07-08-09-10-GENUINE-OEM/231505261937

Oh man. This might be a problem solver.

Any idea if it fits a quart sized Mason jar?

OK, I laughed at the idea, but happened to have one in the cupboard. It does actually hold a quart-sized Mason jar! So, you may proceed to transport your moonshine! :)

My fiance uses a wide mouth quart Mason jar for her water bottle, with a silicone lid insert so she can drink out of it without making a mess. :p
