I know I am breaking forum protocall by posting this even though there is a separate thread regarding Poly Bushings, but I am in kind of a time crunch so I need an answer quick. I also posted this question on the other thread.

I have a 06 TRD Sport. I purchase the below Energy Suspension poly bushing set to replace my factory rubber bushings while my tacoma was getting its frame replaced. All of the bushing fit except for the upper control arms. The Toyota dealer is trying get me to buy the Toyota rubber bushings which are $170, which is over half of what I paid for the whole poly set. Is the the Toyota dealer doing something wrong when they install the bushing, or am I missing a piece? Is the there a different Poly bushing that I can get of the UCA?

Bump for this guy to get an answer.

I've been thinking about this kit myself, since I have a 2006 that is around 140,000 miles. I was thinking a kit like this would tighten things up a bit.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?

So I contacted Aftermarket Suspension Parts and they think that Energy Suspension put the wrong UCA bushing in my package. AMSP is having my dealer send an image of the wrong part and part number so they can get the replacement from Energy Suspension. In the mean time I bought this set Whiteline of UCA bushings in case the Energy Suspensions bushings never work. I will let you know how it works out. If anyone has any other advice please provide it.

People basically have to throw their UCA's away when they swap to aftermarket....since no one wants them. Just buy some low mile arms from the B/S/T area and call it a day if you need new ones. Much cheaper then those bushings.

Thank you for the input. I am going to try the whiteline bushing first. If that doesn't work then I will get the new UCA.

So, I spoke with AMSP again and I did have the correct bushing. They claim that the Energy Suspension UCA bushing requires you to salvage the outer metal portion of the original rubber bushing. After seeing what the dealer did to the rubber bushing to get it out of the UCA, I cannot imagine that it would be possible to salvage the original piece. The Whiteline bushing looks like it includes the outer metal part so hopefully it will work.
