    Only cosmetic. (For now)
I beat my little Taco pretty hard, but I also baby it and do all kinds of preventative maintenance. I took it through a decently sized puddle. Nothing deep, it didn't run any different after, but It did get wet. I live in Canada so it was parked out in the cold last night, does anyone think that my starter could have become frozen? I went to start it and it makes a good click. I have never had starting issues until this morning. It always starts right away and it cranks fast all the time. Any Ideas? I shall try it again later today and see if its any different.

Sounds like it could be frozen. If not, then maybe the contacts in the starter are bad, and you could just replace them, but contact problems usually are intermittent at first.

Since you have a 5 speed, you could try to roll start it, then let the heat of the engine unfreeze the starter. If you want to be extra careful, you could first try to turn the crankshaft by hand (with a ratchet) just to be sure your engine is not stuck for some reason.

put it in gear and rock it back and forth to make the starter move, then retry it. might be bad brushes in the starter aren't making good contact.
