Im currently running the NGK BKR5EIX-11 iridium plugs. Most of the egr, pollution devices, catalytic converter, etc has been deleted. The truck runs rich, so I was wondering if I could go one step colder and use the BKR4EIX-11. The truck runs a little rough at idle and blows some black soot out under heavy acceleration. Please advise if these plugs will work. Im worried that they may hit the top of the piston or make my issue worse by pinging the engine. Please advise.
