What should I use from amp to doors?

Don't want to spend a fortune, but I want something that will last. I had it done 2 yrs ago and the wires are junk, closing the door broke a connector and I found the wire was oxidizing so I'd rather just replace it. Not sure what kind was used but it doesn't seem to last long.

Fortunately I think I can get away with tying old wire to new to pull it through the inside..much easier if it works

That was my general thought of securing them in some way, but lineman's knot is a great idea..much obliged. Only a single cab and I just have to go to the door..I don't recall them taking the seat out initially so has to be a way

taking the seats out is only 4 bolts, i found that running wire etc its much easier than messing around

Seems easy enough..I know the guy who wired it didn't. No complaints about the work just the damn wire..I'm starting to get one side crackling and cutting out if I turn it up, which is the side I already had the wiring issue on.

I'll check but that might even be what he did..when I had to repair it before I had a sense it was at the speaker so only the door panel came off

Looking around i can get Monster cable 16 gauge for about 20 bucks in 50 foot, more than enough.

I'm running a 100 watt x2 amp and I don't think the cable will be longer than 10 ft, probly more like 8 ft but just a guesstimate. 16 gauge would be enough, correct?
