Are there bed extenders that are the height of the top of the interior wheel wells? I have a 5 foot bed and am looking for an accessory that will allow me to carry 4 x 8 sheets (plywood, sheetrock etc.), Even with the wood inserts they still rock down toward the tail gate. Any suggestions?

See if a harbor freight bed extender would work. It adjusts to different heights. Around $80.....I use one to carry my 12' Hobie fishing kayak.

I haul drywall a couple times a week. I can haul 11 sheets (4x8) half inch board comfortably. Just keep the tailgate up and let it lean on it. I also have a cap.

check out TopLine. its not has high as the giant swing out ones. and it folds up against the tailgate when you're done with it so you still can use your bed.
