I was looking at those wheels too. Only in the 16x7, and I was told that they would fit on the Tacoma.

You should probably go with a 16X8 wheel if you're going with a 285/75/16 tire since the tire is pretty wide and will make it seat perfect and give it more of a tread footprint contact to the road and wont have a crown. the pro comp 7089 series that i have on my 05 taco is a 16X8 with a 4.5 backspace. the stock backspace is 5.5 and i originally had the 285 tires mounted on my stock 16X7 steel toyota wheels and they rubbed on my upper control arms and frame. if you go with the 16X7 pro comp steelies with the 4.25 backspace like you were saying, it will probably be fine though and you shouldnt have any issues as long as wheelers offroad is correct and they will clear your calipers.... chad

yeah, cuz the stock acorn style lug nuts are too short and the 7089 has a deep lug hole. i bought the Gorilla brand long spline type lug nuts size is 12MM 1.50 thread and they were $1.50 each plus you have to buy the thin walled black lug nut socket that fits down in the wheel which only like $6.00 or 7.00, so total price with shipping was like $50 from Wheeler's offroad from their website. I think 4Wheelparts has them and some other places .
