In reality however, lets wait to see who our next president will be. If it continues to be Democrats, EPA emissions will get more and more strict. This is a variable that is huge and many manufacturers don't want to speculate now. If a Republican gets into office, EPA emissions will more than likely not be stricter and they may even open up that pipeline to our neighbors in the north. This will mean cheaper fuels (cheaper diesels).
Toyota (or any manufacturer) will not speculate to the consumers because it will hinder today's sales. Why buy a Taco or Tundra now if I might be able to get the diesel I want later?
Its all basic marketing and economics. They will release the new diesels the year after we all buy new trucks and are thoroughly pissed.

Good. Diesel is a buck more a gallon. And up here in the north, it sucks in the winter. Yea, they start, but they make some terrible noises for a while.

Unleaded all the way. Save the Diesel for your Peterbuilt.
