Can anyone tell me if there is a transmission filter in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma, V-6 four wheel drive ext. cab? I have gone on part sites and they are saying yes and trying to sell me a kit with filter an gasket, yet i have heard from other people there is NO filter just drain fluid and replace. Also would you recommend synthetic oil in transmission on a high mileage truck. 150,000 plus?
    Thanks Jack

Honestly ask the dealer parts dept for the oem stuff.

You should only use the approved fluids in the transmission.
