Quick Question on Rust Warranty

The 2004 frame rust thread got me thinking about my truck's previous owner. I went looking for the paperwork he gave me, couldn't find it, but pulled it up thru the owners website.

In April 2010 he brought her in for the rust check:

"WARRANTY REPAIR ~|~INSPECT FRAME ~|~CORROSION ~|~NO RUST PERFORATION FOUND."

Now, if all these years later the rust gets worse, can I get a new frame?

As no perforation was found, my frame doesn't have the coating.

 

Bring it in to the dealer for a free inspection whenever you want. If there is a perforation found within 15yrs of your 'in service date' then the frame will be replaced; in your case the 'warranty' is good til 2019. The Snow Angel should have gotten the frame coating back in 2010 but maybe your state didn't approve it back then. They no longer offer the coating iirc.

 

Sweet. Thanks dude. I have an appointment for Monday for the tire carrier, so I'll have them look then ... The frame is rusty, but it looks like surface only to me.

Still, I want a new frame!
