Spectre intake

Has anyone installed a spectre intake on their taco. Just curious to its durability and and results

 

In have one. Don't really know how much it does power wise. Sounds mean. Kind of a temporary thing for me though, going to get the TCAI from urd. Thinking it'll be my bday gift to me.

As far as durability.. it's plastic tubing. But I don't see why it would be under any sort of physical stress. I'm happy with it for the price

It is. But if you want somthibg temporary it's fine.

 

And to add to that, I have been thinking. The stock intake is made out off soft crappy plastic, atleast the spectra is more of a rigid design.

 

You can get a AFE Stage 2 on Ebay from two different sellers foe $300 shipped, the model with the dry filter so you dont have to worry about oil getting your MAF!

 

I had one but maybe Im wrong when I say that your stock cai is actually better
so I put mine back on. I mean are you really getting colder air in the engine compartment compaired to the inside of the left fender? IDK

 

How did this turn out for you? I'm trying to decide between this and a bull bar and which I should do first according to my needs.

 

Well I ended up taking of the spectrum and put the stock box on with a k&n filter. What I realized is that the inner fender protection is essential for water and the air is cooler. It sounds a little throaty now in a good way. Also TRD filters are the same just more $$$
