I have a 2013 PreRunner V6. I have not put a lift on it so it is the standard factory height. A guy is offering a set of tires and rims, but I'm concerned about if they'll rub in the front while turning. I currently have 265 70 R16's on the truck, the set in question are 285 70 R17's. Obviously the number i'm not sure about is 285 vs 265. The height increase would be fine, its just the width in question.

    ...Thoughts?

its not impossible but will take a lot of trimming, cutting and hacking to make it work. What backspace is on the wheels? You WILL rub your UCA's unless you have -12 offset/4.5 backspace wheels. I have 3" ICON up front and still had to trim my fenders and CMC.

I havent put any backspace on them. I took them to a local tire place and showed the guy where they are rubbing...he's recommending a 2" leveling kit and said it should solve the problem. I found a 2.25" leveling kit made by the same mfr of the wheels, and the description says they allow for a max tire diameter of 33".

I meant what is the backspacing that is on the wheels the 285's are mounted to?
