"Sully" Build

So here is the start of my build thread. I have a 2008 SWB DCSB TRD offroad 4x4.

Bought the truck last year in march and my first mod was deleting the oem side steps (which I am currently trying to sell and i will do a separate post for them)


Next I Plasti Dipped the badges. I went a little crazy and did 7 coats.




A couple months later I got the rims and tires done along with a level kit. Not to happy about the level spacer, but it will have to do for now.



They are the Method Standards 17x8.5 with Toyo Tires Open Country A/T II P285/70/r17. They do rub a little bit when fully cranked but not that bad.

Next I was sick of that ugly chrome grill. So I did my best to color match it myself. I also took the time to color match the Toyota Emblem.






Finally got a HomerTaco grill from another TW member who was selling his truck. The grill looks awesome! HomerTaco keep up the good work! I couldn't be happier! I also added the Toyota letters.

I also added an aFe CAI which looks and sounds great I don't have pictures of it tho sorry.
Future mods: hopefully getting a Magnaflow offroad pro series exhaust system for my future suspension mod. Which I am going with Kings 2.5 coilovers with remote res and total chaos uca along with icon aal and Kings rears. I am also looking into getting a tiregate and a new set of bumpers. Still got a ways, but I am happy with him right now

I like your headlights. I have been wanting to do the BHLM for awhile now. I'm just nervous about the oven step...

 

I found the picture of the CAI installed.


Also installed the Magnaflow off-road pro series Turndown System. It's a little louder than I thought it would be, but I can get use to it. Plus it sounds awesome!


Finally got around to doing the BHLM this weekend. Cost me about $10 in supplies and 6 hours of labor. I just hope it doesn't fog up. I used what was left of the oem caulk and sealed the outside with GE Silicon. I'll post pictures later.

 

Looks good, How are the Toyo Open Country AT2s holding up? Just ordered me the P285/70/17s. Just double checking to make sure thats what you have and not the LTs.

Finally got the new Suspension put on my truck. Up front I have Fox 2.5 ifs coilovers with Total Chaos UCAs.


For the rear I went with Fox 2.0 adj. resi with All-Pro Standard leaf springs and U-bolt flip kit that came with Timbren bumpstops and extended brake lines.




Also added new Spyder headlights and got a pair of Rigid Spot Beams
