Don't know what's up with Liverpool but two leg stomps in the same game. One being Steven Gerrard's red card less than a minute after the start of the second half.

 

Gerrad's i can at least understand a tiny bit. Herrera had just made a hard challenge on him. Kind of a heat of the moment thing. You could kinda tell right away he knew what he had done was wrong. The whole run up on that was just bad. Gerrad's challenge on (i think) Mata which sort of led to Herrera's challenge which lead to the red card.

Skrtel's on the other hand....that was just shameful and uncalled for. No reason for it.

Phil Jones probably should have seen a red too though to be fair.

 

I agree with you on the Jones call, he was way late and high w/ lots of force. Should have been red. They kept their own pretty well though being a man down. Had Jones left I think they might have won it. That second goal by Mata was top notch though.

 

Any one been following the UCL games so far? More today. What about Europa League? Gotta bring this thread back up to the top to get some attention... let's go!

 

Yeah! Juventus, hopefully we can seal the deal this year and Liverpool in the Europa, klopps second game in charge, we should hopefully some out with a win

 

Nice. I'm a Juve fan as well. Serie A not going too well, but UCL is another story. Being Portuguese I follow my team from back home, Sporting Clude De Portugal, in the Europa League. We missed out on the UCL because we lost in the playoff agaisnt CSKA Moscow on a BS call that took away our 2nd away goal, which would have killed the leg and we would have gone in. Lots of $$ lost because of that. Oh well.

 

Waiting on liverpool to actually give a shit in the Europa League so we can get that CL spot

 

More so now than before. Starting last year the winner goes right in, like Sevilla, so teams should definitely start paying more attention to the Eruopa League.

 

Tomorrow should be interesting. I halfway agree with what Jamie Redknapp said in the match with spurs. He said that Liverpool's improvement against Spurs had nothing to do with Klopp. I think Klopp's appointment ignited the players will to win again but the players actually played like they wanted to win at the same time. Does that make sense? YNWA

 

Makes perfect sense. But curious as well to see what effect he'll have on the team going forward. Should be interesting.

 

Yeah the first 25 minutes or so we were doing great. After the missed opportunity by origi we started to fall off a bit. Mignolet saved us for sure though.

 

Yes he did. I'm starting to believe in him. If you notice my post above from Feb 3rd I did not like him at all. I thought he made stupid decisions but he has improved a lot.

I think that Klopps appointment is a game changer, a breath of fresh air if you will. The players feel a bit more inspired and they showed it a bit against Spurs

 

I think he can be hit or miss. Good at times, bad at others. And from what I've seen, when he's bad, he's bad. With the kind of money LFC has I would think they could/should invest in a better keeper.

 

He's definitely hit or miss! More hits lately than misses.

 

I think ole Mings will be alright. I dont think they'll replace him anytime soon but we can only have faith in the keeper and hope for the best
