Hey all! So I have thinking about pulling the trigger on OME 885 kit with Light Racing UCAs. I haven't done it yet but I was curious if there would be much interest in a lift install party?

I know we used to do the same thing in the Jeeping community. I buy a bunch of beer and pizza and we all come out drink beer work on my truck etc etc.

I live in Louisville but have minimal tools and a garage that's already full of dirtbikes.

Did you ever get this coordinated? I'm in the same boat, because it is much quicker with multiple hands on deck especially when installing AALs.

Nope, I'm looking for a local company to just do the install now. I'm to worried about having some kind of diveline vibe.

    Any ideas?

Meh, if you ever venture down to Houston make a thread in the Texas section and provide beer and food. We will knock it out in a couple of hours.

One thing I can say is I can call one of the 30ish members here for anything and they would come and help. Hell I bought front fiberglass and had it TW expressed through 3 members hands

I did it by myself (no help) front and back in about ~3h in my driveway (it's really not a big deal) I have 885X no vibes at all, runs better than before

I'm not handy enough to install something like that onto my truck :p

and if you only go 5100s & 885X with a 1/4" spacer on the driver side no UCAs needed

Not sure having it installed by anyone would help to prevent any driveline vibes. They seem to be individual to every truck both in the speed range they appear at as well as their magnitude.

Hit or a miss (or so I've been told). I've owned 3 second gens, all had post lift vibes. The least amount of vibes (barely noticeable on a take off shudder) was with a full OME lift and I used 2 of their carrier bearing drop spacers.

It mostly depends on the rear lift, I went ~2.5 up in the front using the 885x & 5100 set at zero. Since my bed only carried kayaks, bikes (light stuff) and I have the 3+1 in the rear I just added 5100s and a 1.5" block for now (which is slightly tapered).

Leveled it out pretty good with about .5 rake and no vibes
