Ordered a tonneau cover through 4 wheel parts about a month ago. Was told it would only take about 2 weeks. Still hasn't arrived. Going on 5th week. Is this normal? I opted to have the item shipped to the store.

Who do you guys order large parts, covers, etc. from? First experience with 4wheel parts, and am not pleased with the lack of communication.

Seems that almost all the vendors with "free shipping" promos do not apply to HI. Even Amazon would not ship the tonneau cover to HI.

"2 weeks" is actually more like 2 months...

a full Tonneau is too big is ship normally and needs to be sent as part of a container for anyone to ship it "free" so 4WP will bring it in their container when it'll fit.

Thanks. That's what I figured. They actually charge a fee for shipping to the store anyway. Next time I'll just pay the extra to have it shipped to me directly.

better off sending it to the store...they're still going to ship it to the store than charge you extra to truck it to your house...

    **Update**

So I called 4wheel parts today to follow up on my order, and the guy on the phone says "ok it looks like the order wasn't placed. I can't tell you exactly where your item is"

I'm requesting with them to cancel this order since they already charged my credit card the day the order was placed. Been waiting for over a month for nothing. Once I get confirmation that the order is canceled, I'm going to order the cover from Auto Anything. The rep guaranteed that it will arrive in 7-10 days to my house. Should have just went with them from the beginning. 4wheel parts really dropped the ball on this.

So they ended up allowing me to cancel the order. The guys at the Waipahu store are actually quite friendly and felt bad about everything. Their system really sucks though. No email communication, their website order status page is not accurate, and if you email/call their main customer service, they differ everything to the Hawaii store since it's apparently seperate. Kinda reminds me of the Wet Okole setup. Coulda been a lot worse if they forced me to keep the order and wait another month.

Wow, that's a bummer to have to dela with. But, atleast you got your moeny back. I've ordered a bunch of things from Autoanything. Infact I have a sales guy on speed dial there. They're super good with shipping and give great discounts. I got my headers shipped here for $50 when everyone else quoted me $150. And he gave me a 20% discount.

Auto Anything took a total of 4 days from when I placed my order to when the tonneau cover arrived on my door step. Talk about night and day. Very pleased.

What tonneau cover did you get? Just curious. I ordered a BAK Flip off Amazon yesterday in the morning and it should be here by Tuesday, no later than Wednesday.

I need to get all me shizz installed before the weekend too, or might not go up. I think I'll make it though.

Ended up getting an Undercover Flex. I was really torn between the Flex, BAKflip Fibermax, or BAKflip VP.

My '05 Tacoma had a Pace Edwards Jackrabbit. Liked the clean no seams vinyl look which is why I considered the VP, but in the end, didn't want to have to constantly apply protectant.

Going with the flex was more of a price thing and a longer warranty, but I figure it really is a toss up between the Flex and Fibermax.

Really happy with my experience with Auto Anything, and the Undercover Flex. Highly recommended for anyone on the fence. Wish I had bought it sooner.
