Got one from a buddy but don't have all the discs and stuff so my question is how do you unlock the damn thing and access all the functions other than tuner and disks?

 

Did it come with microphone, GPS antenna, ipod cable, remote?

I don't think any other functions will show up unless cables are connected. For example if I didn't have the bluetooth enabled on my phone and paired, there was no way to access the BT Stereo or BT Phone options on the unit.

There is a great AVIC forum (http://avic411.com/) where I learned how to bypass the parking brake sensor and other tips.

Since my head unit was stolen, I have manuals, remote, GPS DVD, iPod Cable (30 pin), and possibly microphone, if you're interested. I'm pretty sure the dirtbag got the GPS Antenna and may have cut the wire for the microphone. I won't know until I get the truck back from the shop.

 

As for the discs, checkout a few bittorrent sites. They're out there. Just need a dual-layer DVD-R & you're good to go.

I have functions but can't get any other than disk and radio. I hooked up a iPhone interface to the audio inputs in the back but can'tt get it pulled up

Try pairing the iPhone via bluetooth. You should then have access to BT-Stereo function available and possibly BT-Phone function. Honestly, I never hooked my phone up via the cable, it was much easier to just use the BT.

 

Do you not have to get the adaptor ?

 

anyone have pull offs from theirs they would sell ?
