2002 prerunner 4 cyl

Hi,, new member and having a problem with a Po3o3. Had a $110.00 test to be returned for any work done.
Was told need a valve job for $850-$1250.

DiagnosisCylinder #3 compression 110PSI cylinder #1 compression 135PSI cylinder #3 leak down failed 85% for intake valve

Does this sound right for a valve job or could it be something lesser in cost??:

140K milage and we did change plugs. A friend did it and used Bosch plugs.
Now I was told Desco(?) is better for toyotas...TRUE???
