Just installed this today it took 5 minutes tops. Worth it to stop the thieves from taking your tailgate. Just happened to Taczilla while on vacation.

    Yup, got the same one.

Ran into issues when I tried to take one of the bolts off .Bolt was cranked so hard at the factory plus soft metal the damn thing stripped on me, ended up have to take the entire tailgate apart to get it out. What should have taken 5-10 minutes, took me 2hrs.

Wow mine turned right out and it's a new truck. I think after 2 hours I would have put a stupid Pro Net on it and aid " Fuck it. "

    Bwah I know right.

It was insane man. My truck was maybe 2 weeks old when I put it on. I'm thinking oh boy not a good start here.

I had the same problem trying to remove the bolt to put my Gatekeeper on but got lucky. I drive by dealer daily and went back to body shop to get advice and one of the employees took it out for me. I didn't see what he did but mentioned he thought they had used something like Locktite-don't know if that is accurate or not. Anyway, happy with Gatekeeper.
