Hi, I recently put a lift kit on my Tacoma. 3in front and 2in rear Rough Country suspension lift. Looks great, however my tires are rubbing more than I would like, I put 285/70/R16 mud tires and not happy with the rubbing. I did some minor trimming and its still rubbing at full turn. I was wondering what someone might recommend, I've heard that installing a 1in body lift would help but I'm not crazy about body lifts. Any suggestions?

Many of us had to flatten the pinch weld with a bfh to stop rubbing as well as remove mud flaps. Good Luck.

I removed the mud flaps. What do yall think about the body lifts?

    Some stuff...
    Welcome!

Its not recommended to stack a body/spacer lift with a suspension lift, nor is it good practice to lift more than 3" on our rigs.

Where are you rubbing specifically? Cab mount? Flares? Flaps? Pinch welds? You'll probably need to do a little bit of investigating into the source of the rubbing and some trimming but it shouldn't be too bad. Check out my build or do some searching within this thread for some insight: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/285871-2nd-gen-4x4-35s-3-lift-w-o-body-lift.html

    Good luck!

Just put 265's back and make the sidewall bigger... you should be able to run 265/75/16's on a 3 inch lift without any major issues

Its in the fender. I think it might be one of the flaps. I might just remove them completely and see how that works.

1 inch body lift is fine. Many capable rigs here run em. You may need it as is tough to eliminate rubbing off-road if your rubbing when at full turn now.

Yeah, I haven't heard many good reviews on body lifts at all. But I also know a 1 in isn't that bad..
