Hey, I'm new here and needing some help from some guys with experience. Been looking into getting a new 14 or 15 4x4 Tacoma and was interested in the TRD Off-road but at the dealership here all they have is the TSS in the 15. I plan on keeping the truck and eventually building it up. Is it gonna be worth getting the TRD off-road or should I just get the TSS? And what are the differences in them? The truck will be used as a truck and not a pavement queen. Would like some input before I pull the trigger on one. Thank you!

The big difference will be the off road comes with the rear locker. I don't know much about the TSS, but I would say the locker is worth it over the TSS. Does the TSS even come with the TRD seats and options?

I'm not familiar with the TSS since it is a regional package. But it sure looks like compared to the TRD OR it is just a pavement queen package. I'd buy a SR5 and upgrade that rather than purchasing the TSS I think - but again, I'm not too familiar with the TSS.

Any dealer should be able to get you a TRD OR - either in a week or two from another dealer in the region or in 6-8 weeks from the factory.
