What is the cause and fix for a chirping suspension? The suspension chirps as it goes over slight imperfections in the road. Is there a simple fix or do we just have to live with it?

Where on the truck is the noise coming from?

Can't tell if it is coming from front or rear suspension. It isn't motor related.

Get a can of wd40. Spray one joint on the suspension and drive. If you still hear it. Spray another joint. So on, till it stops. Then you can pinpoint where it's coming from. Rear leafs tend to squeak also

Yeah good chance it's the leaf springs. If u pinpoint it to that, there are several good threads on here for eliminating the squeak

I tried standing on the rear bumper and pushing up and down on the front end. I could not duplicate the chirping sound....

... but it definitely chirps when the truck bounces? try driving with the dry window down, then close it and drive with the back sliding window open and see if you can pinpoint it. If you're having a hard time determining if its front or back, maybe its best to just take it to someone who can do a diagnosis.

Yeah, it chirps when I drive across uneven surface. Like for example, even a fairly smooth set of railroad tracks will cause the truck to chirp. I'll try opening the rear window and see if that helps determine where abouts the sound is coming from.
