    Hey Everyone,

I've been lurking here a bit as I planned my truck purchase. It was between the Tacoma and Colorado. I decided to go the Tacoma route when I realized how long the wait was for a Colorado, and as I watched their MSRP rise and rise. The Tacoma may not be as flashy inside, but it has much more room, which was important to me (6'3" 225 pounds...I need room!).

Went in to the dealer a few weeks ago and test drove. Went back today and I was really looking for a DCSB pre runner. I told myself the price point was out the door after TTL at 30k...which I know was unrealistic but it was a starting point.

Wound up settling on a Prerunner DCLB with navigation and all. I didn't really want navigation, but it came at a good price point. Sticker was $31,650. After TTL it was about 35k.

Negotiations took about an hour. I told them I would walk away twice, the second time I got up and shook their hand. When I started walking out, they finally started to budge on price. We got it down to $29,000 plus TTL, so just a hair under $32,000 after it was all said and done.

I wanted to be out at 30k and knew it was unrealistic, so for 32k I also got a long box and navigation. I have no complaints.:)

I look forward to using the forum as a wealth of knowledge. Without further delay... my Taco!

Congrats OP. Decent deal indeed. I paid $34k OTD for my 4WD version of your truck minus the fancy nav. and had to play hard ball a bit too. Nice choice!
